Day 45

Day 45

Sep 14
Sorry (again) for the lack of posts, we are watching my nephew this week, a little 9 month future foodie, and he takes up a lot of time!

John and I bought tickets for a bash on Saturday night, the annual Slow Food Dinner hosted by Lake Meadow Naturals (the farm where we love to get our eggs.) At the dinner we will “Tour the farm and enjoy culinary treats masterfully created by Central Florida chefs Alexia and Rhys Gawlak, who will prepare savory hors d’oeuvres from local farm-fresh offerings. These tasty delights will be perfectly paired with a medley of fine wine selections.”

We recently got the menu for the evening too! I am quite excited to see the farm where our favorite eggs come from, and to get to try all these treats. Plus, they are all sustainable, humane and from farms we know of (or in the case of the wild seafood, they are locally caught). Check out the menu and we’ll write more on Sunday after the the big night out.
