Busy at the Bazaar

Busy at the Bazaar

Mar 30

Laura and I stopped by the first Orlando Food Truck Bazaar on Tuesday night, held in the parking lot of Discovery Church on south Orange Ave, and we were pleasantly surprised (at first) to see a ginormous crowd of people gathered around the trucks and the simultaneous community market (which apparently happens every Tuesday there). We weren’t so pleasant after joining the line for the Big Wheel food truck that was maybe 200 feet long – we moved maybe 10 feet in 20 minutes. The atmosphere was a-buzz with creativity and friendship, but unfortunately we didn’t know anyone, and the sardine-packed crowd didn’t make a good environment for meeting new people. After our 20 minutes in line, we decided to bail and make dinner at home (it was already 8:30 by that time), planning to get a meal from the truck Thursday night at the College Park Farmer’s Market. We’ll let you know how that goes – but I have no doubt it will be delicious and lovely!
